Anyone want to get together for New Years?
Annapolis is having a non-alcoholic New Years with Fireworks, as is Old Town Alexandria. If we have people wanting to do both, we will have two away teams.

((First Night Annapolis is taking a break this year.))

Annapolis Alive! New Year's Eve celebration rings in the city’s 300th anniversary year. The event kicks off a yearlong celebration commemorating the signing of a Royal Charter that gave Annapolis its city status in 1708. The New Year's Eve celebration will feature musicians, street performers, a Battle of the Bands, and fireworks. No tickets(except for Rock at the Rec), no waiting in line...just great family fun.

Annapolis Alive! New Year's Eve Celebration
Main Street, Annapolis
11:45 a.m. - Parade led by the Chesapeake Caledonian Pipes and Drums from Church Circle to Market Square.
3 - 6 p.m. Children's activities celebrate New Years traditions around the world at the Annapolis Recreation Center
7:30 - 11 p.m. - Rock at the Rec! Tickets: $10 at the door.
Live music, vendors and street performers along Main Street.
Midnight - Fireworks."

"First Night Alexandria

A Family New Year’s Eve Celebration in Old Town Alexandria

First Night Alexandria will be held December 31 when dozens of venues throughout historic Old Town Alexandria become a stage in the New Year’s Eve celebration of the performing arts.

This year, 40 indoor venues will host some 60 bands, musicians and entertainers. Confirmed performers include: The Stairwells; Bill Kirchen; La Firma; Mike Rose the Magician; Teddy the Clown; and many, many more. Children's activities begin at 5 p.m. Most entertainment begins at 6 or 7 p.m. A spectacular fireworks show welcomes the new year at the stroke of midnight at the George Washington Masonic Temple.

Admission:

$10/person before December 26. ($15 after that date) Children under age 12 are free.
