Fan Flick part of movies to watch on the Top Gun

Greetings All!

The Fan Flick we have been waiting for for the last year - "Star Trek: of Gods and Men, Part 1" - is now available starting TODAY for viewing by visiting their site and entering your email address, so you can be notified when the other two parts of the movie will be available. The site link is HERE. A review of this part of the movie will be posted online after the individual viewings. If you would like your voice heard, email the list serve with your review.

THE ROGERS REVIEW OF WALL-E & MAMMA MIA

Imagine the Earth in distant future where consumerism trashes the blue planet which forces mankind journey to the stars and the only thing left on Earth is unique trash compactor. The Waste Allocation Load Lifter -- Earth-Class will soon find out that his purpose in life is about to change.

This describes the latest Disney/PIXAR film WALL-E. WALL-E's mission for seven centuries was to clean up the Earth's garbage. This unique robot has much more to life than his original mission. As curiosity makes life unique to all of us, WALL-E curiosity involves collecting and exploring the knick-knacks of human life. During one of these adventures, WALL-E discovers the one thing he truly wants, that is love. One day, a spaceship answered his request in the form of a probe named EVE who was on a mission of her own. One day, the humans retrieved EVE and WALL-E has no choice but to pursue his love. What WALL-E discovers from this point is an adventure un-like no other.

Of all of the films Pixar has made over the years, WALL-E takes on a different theme. What WALL-E lacks in movie dialogue, it truly made it up in its storyline. It was one of those few movies that can hit close to home. It combined a science fiction element of the worst possible future for mankind. It also has it comedic element with WALL-E's curiosity moments. Finally, it has the classic boy meets girl; boy would do anything for girl love story. Every Pixar film gets better with every movie and WALL-E is no exception. With Overall, WALL-E is a film for all ages to enjoy however the adults will get the big picture than the kids. The kids will enjoy the magic that is in every Disney film. WALL-E gets a 9.5 for being a Disney film with a positive message. Check out WALL-E today!

If you are the Dancing Queen who is whisked by Fernando as he takes you to Waterloo? Well, the Name of the Game is the best movie musical of 2008. We are talking about Mamma Mia! Mamma Mia follows the set path of Broadway musicals on the silver screen in recent years.

While Chicago and Dreamgirls set the standards during awards season, MM has raised the bar even higher. If you are a fan of the super Swedish sensation ABBA or the hit Broadway musical, then you are in for a treat. Meryl Streep plays a former free spirit who now operates a hotel in the Greek islands. She's never revealed the identity of her daughter's father, so the daughter (Amanda Seyried) -- who's now about to become a bride -- invites three former suitors (Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgrad) to the celebration in the hopes of sorting out the family secrets.

I have to praise the producers and director of Mamma Mia for its outstanding choice in the cast. I could have sworn that all of them have previous experience in the musical. I am quite impressed and blown away by the vocal chops of Brosnan, Streep, and Seyried. They were destined to play their roles and they NAILED IT! The movie version of the famous ABBA songs we have grown to love are better than expected. The new styles give these tunes a new life and will bring in a new generation of ABBA fans. For my full review, I do plan to see Mamma Mia, the musical to compare. Mamma Mia gets my 10 rating for being a Dramedy that the entire family can enjoy.
