Our Holiday Party will be held Saturday, December 15th, 2007 in Historic Annapolis, Maryland at the Rams Head Tavern near State Circle. We hope many from around the region will attend our Luncheon for a day trip at least, but we have activities for those staying overnight Friday and/or Saturday and those living in the area.
THE PLAN:
Activities from Friday the 14th until Sunday the 16th
FRIDAY NIGHT: PIZZA with GAMING is a no brainer. Bring a game, and so will we. We're staying at the Homestead Studio Suites on Admiral Chochrain Drive. It is near Rt 50/301 and a mile from the Rams Head Tavern. ($5/person for the pizza, sodas and snacks included)
SATURDAY MORNING: Historic Tour of the Naval Academy around 10 AM. If 16 people go, it will be a private tour.( $8 /person for the tour ) *see below
SATURDAY NOON: Holiday Luncheon at Rams Head Tavern. *see below
We will meet at 12 Noon. We had to change plans, and now we will be ordering from the regular menu, with a few changes. We will have a special dessert made for us and bring it to the event. People wishing for alcoholic or specialty drinks will get them separately. Please, let us know if you are planning to attend.
($25 per person includes entree, dessert and soda or tea or coffee plus tax and gratuity)
Please contact Dean Rogers or Donna DiMatteo if you have special dietary needs, or are bringing children under 12.
SATURDAY EARLY EVENING: For those interested, we will see a get our "survival" instincts on by watching "I am Legend" with Will Smith as a matinée. After the film we'll discuss survival issues while grabbing some chow. (show times not available at this time)
SATURDAY EVENING: A carpooling event, "LIGHTS of the BAY" is the local driving tour available at nearby SANDY POINTS PARK for $12/carload. We thought this would be a nifty activity and afterwards we'll grab some Hot Cocoa or Coffee.
SUNDAY: Breakfast together for those staying overnight, and maybe an activity or two.
Contact Dean Rogers or Donna DiMatteo for more details.
* we will collect money for the lunch and for the Naval Academy Tour before the event.

USS Top Gun Holiday Party Update!
After re-choosing a venue for the Party, we have decided on a Luncheon Buffet in Annapolis. All the details are not yet set in stone but here is some information:
The Hotel for those wishing to stay Friday or Saturday nights:Homestead Studio Suites on Admiral Chochrain Dr. in Annapolis, Md.
Date: December 15th, 2007
Activities in planning along with the Holiday Party: (depending on interest)
Friday night: Pizza and Gaming; Saturday: Historical Tour of the Naval Academy, Buffet luncheon in downtown Annapolis, Sci-fi Movie matinée, Drive-thru "Lights on the Bay" in Sandy Point Park, and lastly a possibility of some chocolate fondue or evening snack; Sunday: Breakfast together before those staying over leave for home.
We will also have a collection for Toys for Tots at the Holiday Party.
We hope that people will be interested in all the activities planned, but the Holiday Party Buffet is the main event. We will have more information as it is etched in stone about the venue for the Party but want to have everyone deciding to attend be able to ask for the time off if needed.
